Treatment Monitor: Human and Socio-Economic Rights

There are a number of excellent individuals and organizations who have worked in this area and South Africa has a proudly progressive legal and policy framework. However there are numerous legal transgressions which these groups have and continue to engage with. Similarly there socio economic issues which concern infected and affected people as basic needs remain challenges. Issues in this area to track include but are not limited to: Access to treatment, Wills – Property and Inheritance, Confidentiality/Discrimination, Grants and access to social security and nutrition etc.
