Health and Management Information Systems (HMIS)

The HIS and M&E support initiative established within the Health Systems Trust aims to support and facilitate improvements in various areas of Health Information Systems and Monitoring and Evaluation at national and provincial levels. Key objectives are to:

  • Strengthen the use of information for management and planning purposes
  • Improve access to updated health information to relevant stakeholders
  • Assist in improving the quality of data
  • Strengthening of monitoring and evaluation at all levels of the health system
  • Contribute to health and management information and related policies.
  • Develop and distribute relevant health information materials
  • Share information and lessons learnt in health information in the country
