Understanding Human Sexuality Seminar Series - Call for Abstracts

Africa Regional Sexuality Resources Center (ARSRC) in association with the Health Systems Trust (HST) and the Department of Health Studies at the University of South Africa, is pleased to call for abstracts for its Understanding Human Sexuality Seminars Series.
The seminar is open to the general public. It is an opportunity for scholars, students, social workers, Practitioners, and Policy Markers interested in the field of Sexuality in Africa to learn, share experiences and advocate in favour of healthy, respectful, responsible and pleasurable sexuality.
The goal of the ARSRC in initiating Understanding Human Sexuality Seminar Series is to promote more informed and affirming public dialogue on human sexuality in order to engender positive changes in relevant policies and programmes on the African continent.
The objectives are as follows:
- To provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, lessons learned and advocacy with a view to expand and shape the discourse, thinking and action on sexuality
- To contribute to the documentation of views, experiences and emerging knowledge on sexuality- related issues in Africa

Venue: UNISA, PRETORIA
Persons interested in making presentations at the seminar are advised to send in an abstract. Full-length papers will be requested only from short listed candidates. Travel arrangements for selected presenters who are resident outside of Pretoria, within South Africa, will be supported by HST to attend the seminar. Papers presented at the seminars will be published in the ARSRC Understanding Human sexuality seminar series publications.
