The Khusela Project is a PEPFAR funded, joint venture of three NGOs working with the Eastern Cape Department of Health to Improve Comprehensive PMTCT Services in the Eastern Cape through Support to Facilities and Communities. South Africa Partners is a US based organization that has been working in South Africa for 10 years.


Responsibilities:

  • Overall management of the community team component of the Khusela Project, as well as project planning, implementation and evaluation
  • Development and management of community program budget and small grants program
  • Designing plans, tools, and systems for more efficient program management
  • Providing regular feedback to the Boston office of South Africa Partners.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of HIV/AIDS and PMTCT, as well as a commitment to improving services, treatment, and care of people with HIV/AIDS and reducing the rates of mother-to-child transmission of HIV/AIDS
  • Self-motivated, independent, flexible worker with excellent organizational, writing and communication skills and experience with financial management and budgeting
  • Masters Degree in relevant studies and 3 years of Project Management experience
  • Skilled mediator to human resource demands and ability to work in a team setting
  • Good computer skills. Basic requirement - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and email
  • Valid drivers license
