WOMEN'S HEALTH & EMPOWERMENT

The programme is actively involved with the following:

Women's health issues
Safe motherhood
Nutrition education
Girl-child support
Socio-economic empowerment

The aim of the programme is to build and develop women by improving their knowledge on health issues: identify and take forward specific women's health and related issues; build their capacity in addressing and tackling issues relevant to their lives and that of their families and; develop their autonomy in making decisions about their health and their lives. The programme welcomes men interested in the empowerment of women.

The needs of members at project or community level determine activities of national programmes. Similarly, implementation filters from national and provincial to community level. At provincial level the women's group forms a subgroup of provincial activities.
