| Summary |
This is the first health report for Health District 3 of the Westcoast and Winelands Health region, Western Cape Province and relates for the most part to the year 1996/97. The purpose of the report is to describe the district, its communities and their health needs and to show the extent and levels of health and allied services currently provided. It is hoped that it will help the District and Provincial Health Teams to see the health district as a whole for planning and development purposes, even though at present the public health service is still delivered by three different different arms: province, municipalities and district councils. |
